We all have secrets. Some would rock our world if they were exposed. Imagine a stranger coming up to you and telling you all about your deepest and darkest secret. Our character is told a devastating secret about his wife. She disappears at the revelation. The story gets more twisted and Coben does an admirable job of leaving us guessing by keeping 'the stranger' under wraps until the finale.
I picked this up because Coben teaches a writing class in the BBC Masterclass series and he's a prolific and popular thriller writer. Based on this read I can see why and I'll definitely pick up more.
